Our commitment to diversity & inclusion is rooted in our appreciation for the differences that individuals bring to the table. Race, gender, ability, and countless other elements that define identity shape how individuals process information and approach solutions. Our teams are not successful because they assimilate to a particular standard. Instead, every employee is encouraged to provide their unique input to work towards solutions. Bowman's pledge to maintain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment is backed by employee resources and initiatives. Through CPA Exam assistance, CPE course offerings, and alternative work schedules we offer employees a flexible schedule with built-in opportunities to grow professionally. We have also begun forming employee resource groups (ERGs) and are in the process of developing formal mentorship of novel and incoming associates. Through the use of the AICPA’s PCPS Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit, we seek to pursue additional initiatives such as employee workshops, latent bias training, greater employee support resources, and more.
We recognize that differences in identity can also affect equitable attainment of opportunities, resources, and even information needed to grow professionally. Through partnerships with local organizations, we are actively working to create webinars for aspiring accountants. Through these collaborations, we hope to improve the equity of opportunities to gain industry knowledge, participate in networking, and achieve employment.
