Bio

Marie D. Fairchild joined the Firm in 2022 as a Director in the Commercial Services Department. Prior to joining Bowman, she had over 40 years of experience as a shareholder in a regional accounting firm. Marie is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and is also accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Rider College (now known as Rider University), and a Master of Taxation from Villanova University.

EXPERIENCE

Marie performs a wide variety of accounting services for individuals as well as commercial clients. She prepares business valuations for buy-sell agreements, estate and gift planning, divorce, and more. She prepares reports, such as loss and damage, needed for litigation support engagements; this includes providing court testimony and depositions as needed. Marie prepares and reviews tax returns for individuals, businesses, not-for-profit entities, estates, and trusts. She is qualified to research complex tax issues, as well as manage all levels of financial statement engagements involving audits, reviews, and compilations. Marie’s experience has led her to previously serve as a speaker for the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) Southwest Chapter, as well as an adjunct assistant professor for the New York University School of Continuing & Professional Studies. She has served on advisory councils and boards of directors for financial institutions. Occasionally, she serves as a trustee for various New Jersey trusts and Executrix for decedent’s estates.
