Michael J. Welding

Michael J. Welding is a Partner with over forty years of experience in the Governmental Services Department of the Firm. His areas of expertise are in the governmental consulting and auditing of counties, municipalities, authorities, school districts and special districts of the State of New Jersey. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant and Public School Accountant. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University Camden in 1981. Michael and his wife Diane are residents of Harrison Township, Gloucester County.

EXPERIENCE

Mr. Welding has extensive governmental accounting and auditing experience. He has performed accounting, auditing and budgeting services for numerous municipalities, counties, school districts, authorities and special districts most subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Law. His responsibilities have also included assistance to clients in the selection and implementation of computer hardware and software systems, assistance in various debt issuance matters and assistance with utility rate studies and connection fee calculations. Michael is also licensed as a Municipal Chief Financial Officer.
