The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is a professional organization of accountants from thousands of firms and service industries. They are the preeminent resource for accounting education and networking, with leadership comprised of the most accomplished CPAs in the state. This week, Bowman & Company LLP Senior Managers Amy Perrone (CPA, RMA, PSA) and Lexi Wilson (CPA, RMA, PSA) were honored by the NJCPA with Ovation Awards, as a recognition of their talents, leadership, and contributions to the profession.
Amy Perrone has been awarded the 2024 ‘Woman to Watch’ Ovation Award. This honor is in recognition of exemplary efforts and stellar achievement in advancing the industry in our area. She has developed, and served as instructor, for in-house continuing professional education seminars. Amy is involved with the NJCPA’s scholarship fund essay review and college mentorship program. On winning this award, she comments “I am proud and humbled to be recognized for my hard work and continued efforts in contributing to the accounting profession!”
Lexi Wilson was awarded the 2024 ‘Emergency Leader’ Ovation Award for exemplary efforts and stellar achievement in advancing New Jersey’s accounting profession. She has extended the benefits of membership with the NJCPA to countless young professionals through the emerging leaders council of the NJCPA, mentorship program of the NJCPA and Rowan University, and as Director of the Southwest NJ Chapter of the NJCPA. Lexi comments, “I am extremely honored and grateful to be a recipient of this award, which is a testament to the incredible support I have received from Bowman’s Partners, my colleagues, and the entire NJCPA community. It’s been a privilege to grow alongside so many talented professionals in our field, and I look forward to contributing even more to the future of our profession.”
Bowman & Company LLP’s involvement in professional organizations is not just an afterthought; it is a core focus of how we develop leaders. We believe that those who gain responsibilities within our own Firm also have a responsibility to get involved with our colleagues throughout the state. The future of our profession depends on the willingness of our staff – such as Amy and Lexi – to set an example for others. We are proud to have such talented personnel that rise to the occasion, demonstrate passion for what they do, and encourage the success of others.
