BIO

Laurie Beckman joined the Governmental Services Department of the Firm in 2011. Her areas of expertise include the audit of municipal governments, counties, school districts, and county colleges. Ms. Beckman is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant and Public School Accountant. In addition, she has also been certified by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services as a Certified Municipal Finance Officer. She earned her B.S. in accounting from the University of Delaware in 2004.

EXPERIENCE

Ms. Beckman is currently responsible for managing the audits of several municipalities, school districts, county colleges, and one county, all of which are subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Act, Contract Laws and various other regulatory conditions. She has also developed and served as an instructor for in-house continuing professional education seminars involving municipal auditing and school district accounting.

MEMBERSHIPS IN PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Ms. Beckman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Registered Municipal Accountants’ Association of New Jersey.

She resides in Monroe Township, Gloucester County with her husband Dave and their two children, Eric and Layla.
