Valerie M. Thwaites is a Senior Manager that joined the Governmental Services Department of the Firm in May 2017. Valerie is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and Public School Accountant. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rowan University in 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She later graduated from West Chester University in 2022, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
EXPERIENCE
Valerie is experienced in performing and managing accounting and auditing services for municipalities, counties, school districts, county colleges, authorities, and library commissions, all of which are subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Act, Contract Laws, and various other regulatory conditions. She has multiple years of experience auditing grant activities related to County Offices of Social Services and Workforce Development. Valerie has also served as an instructor for in-house continuing professional education seminars involving school district accounting and single audits.
