Jie Yang joined the Governmental Services Department of the Firm in April 2011. Her areas of expertise include the audit of municipal governments, counties, school districts, authorities and county colleges. Ms. Yang is licenses to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant, Public School Accountant, and Certified Municipal Finance Officer. Ms. Yang earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rowan University in 2010 and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Rutgers University in 2015.
EXPERIENCE
Ms. Yang is currently responsible for managing the audits of several municipalities, school districts, authorities, and one county, all of which are subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Act, Contract Laws and various other regulatory conditions. She has multiple years of experience auditing the student financial aid cluster and grant activities related to County Offices of Social Services and Workforce Development. Ms. Yang is also responsible for conducting in-house training courses for the Firm and is a member of the Firm’s quality control inspection team.
MEMBERSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS
Ms. Yang is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Registered Municipal Accountants’ Association of New Jersey. She serves as a mentor for the Rowan University Accounting Mentorship Program.
Ms. Yang resides in Berlin Township, Camden County, with her husband.
